As a Canadian freight forwarding company, ZBI Canada makes occupational health and safety a primary objective in all of their activities both domestically and abroad. We understand our responsibility for complying with all applicable federal and territorial laws and regulations.  ZBI Canada has implemented a comprehensive safety management system based on the concept of accident prevention. Key components of the system are:

• Ongoing safety training for all employees, focused on safety awareness, accident prevention and emergency response

• Scheduled monthly safety meetings to promote the integration of occupational safety and health standards and guidelines into daily practice

• Monthly safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, policies, and procedures

• A written safety manual detailing company safety standards, policies and procedures

• Safety key performance indicators to monitor overall safety performance and take appropriate corrective and preventive action

• Incorporating safety criteria in employee performance objectives and evaluations

• Ensuring that occupational safety and health objectives are embedded in project quality criteria

ZBI  Canada believes that training and regular communication coupled with a structured safety management system is crucial  in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, and building a true safety culture throughout the entire organization.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control

An effective quality management system is a pre-requisite for any business to operate effectively.     Our quality management system  is customer focused, and integrates the necessary systems      and processes with effective information management and leadership, to produce consistent, predictable   and reproducible high quality results. We focus on continuous improvement through a quality assurance and quality control approach aimed at adherence to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), recommended guidelines for quality.
